U.S. Senate candidate and State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias is the first Illinois public official to call on Democrat Scott Lee Cohen to exit the race for lieutenant governor.  "Domestic abuse has no place in our society much less in public office," he said in a statement, referring to Cohen's 2005 arrest on misdemeanor domestic battery.
