The group "Soldiers 4 Stroger" is circulating yet another racially-charged flier, this time targeting the frontrunner in the Democratic primary for Cook County board president, Toni Preckwinkle. At first glance, the leaflet looks like a parking ticket. Inside, Preckwinkle is characterized as "Aunt Jemima On The Meter Box," suggesting that she supported Chicago's unpopular parking meter privatization. In fact, Preckwinkle was one of five aldermen to vote against the deal. Meanwhile, the alderman is calling the flier "garbage literature." Board President Todd Stroger says his campaign is not affiliated with the group.
