Kirk's High-Speed Flip-Flop

"Congressman Kirk remains a long-time supporter of Amtrak," reads one sentence on Mark Kirk's Senate campaign website, "and supports efforts to bring high-speed rail to Illinois." I guess that explains why he voted against the stimulus bill last year, which included $8 billion in high-speed rail funding, and in favor of an unsuccessful amendment to strip $4 billion in HSR funding from a broader transportation and housing bill.

Maddow Fact-Checks Schock On Meet The Press (VIDEO)

Freshman U.S. Rep. Aaron Schock made his first appearance yesterday on NBC's marquee Sunday show Meet The Press.  His performance featured the expected litany of GOP talking points and false claims.  Thankfully, MSNBC's Rachel Maddow was on the panel to keep him in check.
