Obama Endorses Gay Marriage; Romney Apologizes For Past Bullying, Kind Of

President Barack Obama became the first U.S. President to formerly endorse gay marriage in an interview with Robin Roberts on "Good Morning America." 

Meanwhile, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is under fire for attacking a gay student with a group of classmates during his senior year in high school. Romney has apologized for his "hijinks and pranks" in high school, but some gay rights advocates say that's not good enough.

Number Of The Week: $39 Million

That's the minimum the Illinois economy could see over three years if same-sex couples are granted marriage rights in the state, according to a new report by the Williams Institute.

The UCLA law school think tank found that the state's economy could see as much as $72 million over three years if Illinois legislators passed a marriage equality bill. Of those dollars, the Williams Institute estimates that $4.5 million to $8 million would come from sales and lodging taxes.
