We are now about to enter the final 80 days of the campaign season.
We have an historic opportunity to elect Democrats to office from the
Courthouse to the White House, but that will require all of us to work
together to turn out more Democratic voters to the polls than ever
before here in Illinois’ 11th District Congressional District.
We’re excited to announce that next week we are sponsoring several
regional volunteer training sessions that will give you the opportunity
to learn how you can help elect Democrats this November. These sessions
will empower Democratic volunteers by teaching them the most effective
grassroots organizing methods. We truly believe that the entire
Democratic ticket can win with a strong grassroots effort powered by
enthusiastic, highly trained, and well organized volunteers. Please
join us and learn what you can do to elect Debbie Halvorson to
Congress, Re-Elect Dick Durbin to the U.S. Senate, and send Barack
Obama to the White House!
Volunteer training sessions will be held at the following locations:
Ottawa, Morris, Joliet, Frankfort, Bradley, Bloomington - See below for Details

assess, organize, plan, implement & monitor, and report phases of
establishing a green corporate plan. Attendees will gain comprehension
of short and long term benefits of implementing a green plan and learn
about the tools and approaches to assess your corporate greenhouse gas
(GHG) footprint. Join Michael and Peter as they offer an opportunity to
learn how to create and implement plans to reduce the GHG footprint and

Dear Friends:
During each night of the Democratic National Convention, from 7:00 to
9:00 pm, Naperville Democrats volunteers will be phone banking to local
voters and mobilizing them for the fall campaign. This is very
important. If we do this right, it will help lay the groundwork for
victory in November. (Failing to do this will make our job much more
difficult.) If possible, please help us out. All we need is two hours
of your time....
Snacks and drinks will be provided. The Democratic National
Convention will be on TV. It will be a fun party atmosphere. (Certainly
better than watching from home by yourself, and more productive too!)
When:
Monday, August 25 -- 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Tuesday, August 26 -- 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Wednesday, August 27 -- 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

You’ve
been watching the Democratic National Convention on TV, and listening
to what the pundits have to say. But how do you feel about our
presidential and vice-presidential ticket? How do your neighbors, the
people who will be voting in this election, feel about the Democratic
ticket and how it will impact other Democrats on the ballot this year?
Come and talk about this, and anything else on your mind, at Let’s
Talk Politics. These moderated discussions are free, and open to all.
Registration in advance at TenthDemsU.org is suggested (so we have
an idea of how many are coming), but is not required. Bring a
friend…bring a relative…bring anyone who wants to be a part of the
discussion.
