If you're in the Chicago area, there several interesting progressive-oriented events happening over the next few days. First, Democratic Leadership for the 21st Century is holding its second event at the Hideout tonight, "Progressive Politics in the Age of Obama."
US Action's Ryan Canney will moderate a discussion between journalist Brian Cook, Planned Parenthood of Illinois' Beth Kanter, AFSCME's Anders Lindall, Citizen/Action IL President William McNary, and Obama for America state director Dave Seman. More info here.
Tomorrow night is the first "Laughing Liberally Chicago" monthly showcase at the No Exit Cafe. The event will feature music, comedy, variety acts, and an interview with Progress Illinois editor Josh Kalven. More info here.
Finally, Northside Democracy for America is holding a meeting at Calo Restaurant on Thursday. Guest speakers will include State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias, Lt. Governor candidate Justin Oberman, and 18th District State Rep. candidate Jeff Smith. More info here.

Josh, thanks so much for including our Northside Democracy for America meeting in you post -- we have some great speakers coming and I encourage folks to come and give them a listen.
Thanks as always for all you do for progressive politics in Illinois!
