Via Gaper's Block, here's a portion of the map published by the New York Times this week showing the high-speed rail corridors to be funded by the stimulus package. As you can see, Chicago is at the center of the Midwest network:

This and universal health care and you'll know it's the 2nd Coming.
That said, it's going to be tough if you're going from Chicago to NYC to get off at Cleveland and have to walk to Buffalo and pick up the train again from there.

But how will they finance the LA to Vegas High speed rail line Republicans all tell me Harry Reid is building if they do that? LOL
