This morning, the National Organization for Women (NOW) PAC endorsed Sara Feigenholtz in the 5th Congressional District special election. From a press release:

"The National Organization for Women PAC is proud to endorse Sara Feigenholtz for Congress.  She understands the issues that are facing the country and she's ready to help lead us through these hard times," said NOW President and NOW PAC Chair Kim Gandy.  "With her experience writing and passing health care legislation and chairing the Human Service Appropriations Committee in Illinois, we are confident that Sara will be a leader for Illinois and the country."

This is the second endorsement Feigenholtz has received from a national PAC (EMILY's List pledged their support two weeks ago).  Both endorsements will bring a significant fundraising boost.  According to David Ormbsy, Feigenholtz disclosed at an event last Thursday that she has raised over $400,000.

Today's press release also gave a quick update on her ground game:

On Saturday, Feigenholtz opened her campaign's second office in the Portage Park neighborhood. Her campaign is the first to open a second office in this race. Since launching the first major volunteer drive two weeks ago, the campaign has recruited more than 200 new volunteers and made direct contact with more than 20,000 voters through phone calls and going door to door.
