Scott Harper, the Democratic candidate challenging GOP Rep. Judy in the 13th District, is less than two hours away from completing a 24-hour tour of the district. When I first heard about the idea, I assumed that he would be taking a break in the wee hours. But I stand corrected. A look at the schedule shows that he kept on moving straight through the night, even meeting with night-shift workers at 3:30 this morning:

I was at the Downers train station this morning after Scott called me at 6:30am to ask me to help out. Seems Biggert got wind of his schedule and was there with some of her staffers buying coffee for everyone and handing out lit. It was worth it to stand next to one of her drones who acted as if I was encroaching on her territory as folks gladly accepted my flyers.
Her criticism of Scott consisted of "he needs to learn the district." I found that funny coming from a person who works for a woman who sends most of her time in DC and flipped her vote on the bailout bill "because she didn't realize people in her district were hurting".
I hear she's sent three of her Hill staffers out to the district to bolster her campaign. They better be off her office payroll, we wouldn't "our" Judy breaking any laws.
